Our hearts can soar together

info

For those of us who have bodies rooted to the earth, but hearts in the sky.

A small place for images, writing, music, and anything that may remind one of flying. Can be considered a resource for winged/flying kin.

Also holds a directory of many of the flying/winged kin of Tumblr. Click 'directory' to view the list, and for information on how to be listed.

So, while we have some content on this blog already - courtesy of the ever lovely Tsu - I was wondering what others would like to see?

I was thinking I would post pictures and art of birds and other flying creatures, of course, and music can be posted as well, however that’s all I have so far! I believe this blog may heavily rely on some things that you guys submit, which is actually wonderful. We can all be a large, mix-matched flock, helping each other feel more at home!

For now, however, the queue is going to be implemented, and posting shall be slow. Sorry about this! But if anyone wishes to add anything right now, it can be placed into the queue immediately. c:

Anonymous said: Earth's birds feels like a misnomer, we all exist on Earth. I think "birds" would work just as well, without any need to classify into taxa either, that's something werelist tried and gave up on after much effort and discussion. There's no need to separate or classify the birds, just one big lump with users and species identified as (if any) would work fine. (Be careful of alienating or "putting apart" the cladotherians, like those who identify as a bird in general more than any particular spec)

I understand, I was having issues naming the section. However, as for the division, it’s  not to divide everyone, exactly. It’s a directory for those looking for others of themselves, you know? “I’m X thing, are there more like me?” This set up allows for neater organization and the ability to find specific types much, much faster.

Other is there for ‘Just birds’, as well.

Thank you for the suggestions, though!

Flight - an interactive flash

This is quite a painful story, but will also touch flying people I think… bring out a Kleenex box and be prepared to cry, because most of the endings are really sad, but it’s also lovely and well done…
